Yemen
Yemen is a country of southwest Asia at the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, officially the Republic of Yemen. The country was formed in 1990. At the southern edge of the Arabian Peninsula is a narrow coastal plain extending over 700 miles (1130 km). Yemen including more than 200 islands in the largest is Socotra, the island of Suqutra is home to the flora and fauna unique. Yemen population has estimated more than 23 million people and is the largest country on the Arabian Peninsula, where the religious beliefs is Islam and part of it is Christianity and a Hindu. Yemen is bordered by the west of the Red Sea, north of Saudi Arabia, east of Oman and south of the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden. Sana is the capital and a romantic and very attractive to the world's oldest city. Also Hodeida, Mukalla, Taiz, Ibb, and Abyan is the important city of the Yemen and especially port of Aden where is the commercial capital of the country. North Yemen economy stable whereas the south is one of the poorest regions of the Arabian Peninsula. Yemen has beautiful oasis to attract tourists as oasis of Wadi Hadramawt, the world's hottest cities is Zabid.

The mountainous region rising steeply from the coastal plain.
Yemeni Highlands
The region descending slowly eastwards from the mountains of the west.
Empty Quarter
The desert, inhabited only by nomads.
Red Sea Islands
Over 100 small islands in the Red Sea.
Socotra
A larger island farther out in the Arabian Sea.
